About Parking at the Etihad Stadium
The Etihad Stadium sits at the heart of the Etihad Campus in east Manchester, surrounded by the Sportcity complex, the National Squash Centre, and the Manchester Regional Arena. It's a purpose-built sporting quarter that also hosts major concerts and live events, but that doesn't mean event day parking is straightforward.
The official car parks around the stadium sell out well in advance, and on event days the area around Joe Mercer Way is closed to general traffic. Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way both get heavily congested as 53,000 visitors funnel into the same pocket of east Manchester. If you haven't planned ahead, you'll spend more time circling for a space than you will enjoying the build-up.
The area around the Etihad is a mix of residential streets, industrial estates, and the ongoing regeneration that has transformed this part of Manchester over the past decade. There are spaces to be found if you know where to look, and that's exactly what we offer. We work with professional parking operators and landowners who have off-street spaces and car parks within easy walking distance of the venue.
You book before event day, your space is confirmed and waiting, and you walk to the venue without the guesswork. No wardens, no gridlock on Ashton New Road, no circling the industrial estates hoping for the best.

Event Day Tips for Etihad Stadium
Local know-how to make your event day run smoothly.
Arrive Early — Closures Start 2 Hours Before
Road closures around Joe Mercer Way and the Etihad Campus kick in roughly two hours before the event. If you leave it late, you'll hit a wall of traffic and closed-off routes. Aim to be parked up at least 90 minutes before event start.
Best Approach: A635 or M60 Junction 23
Coming from the motorway, the M60 junction 23 onto the A635 (Ashton Old Road) is usually your best bet. From central Manchester, the A662 via Droylsden Road works well. Avoid Alan Turing Way close to event start — it gets gridlocked.
Food & Drink Near the Venue
The street food market near the Etihad Campus is worth a look if you've arrived with time to spare. Plenty of options from burgers to loaded fries. Mary D's on Grey Mare Lane is a solid local spot for a proper pre-event bite too.
After the Event: Avoid Alan Turing Way
When the event finishes, don't try to get straight onto Alan Turing Way — it's bumper-to-bumper for a good half hour. Walk to your car on a side street, give it 15 to 20 minutes, and the worst of the traffic will have cleared. Or better yet, grab a drink nearby and wait it out.
